In a bid to improve on quality sound and professionalism in the music industry, Fuji Icon, Alh. Abass Akande Obesere better known as Agbaakin Abobagunwa of Yorubaland, has, during the week, inaugurated Pop Sound Studios.
The launch of the studio, which happened in Ibadan, on Wednesday, at Wema Plaza, Gbagi, is coming at the appropriate time when teeming talented artistes crave for quality sound, especially in Ibadan.
The multi million naira studio has been rated one of the best and most expensive studios by the commissioner, Alh. Obesere.
He said: “This is one of the best, well designed, structured and expensive studio I have ever entered.”
He, however, expressed happiness that young minds like Olakunle Taiwo and Opeyemi Abiodun, the founder of the company, could come up with something brilliant to improve talents and add value to the music industry and entertainment industry as a whole.”
The Egungun Becareful crooner, after his brilliant speech, went on a tour of the studio with the team and tested the quality gadgets by delivering some powerful lines.
Giving his own remarks, the general manager of the studio, Olakunle Taiwo, said the studio has alot to offer the industry not only in music, but also in the areas of photography and cinematography, and to also make quality production affordable for young talents.
Speaking, Opeyemi, who is also the producer and studio engineer, said time has come for Ibadan artistes to have some hit songs through the studio.
The well-attended event gathered stakeholders in the entertainment industry both in Ibadan and Lagos to celebrate the grand opening.
