Condolence
By Oluwatope Lawanson Nigerian playwright, Prof Wole Soyinka, on Wednesday, paid a condolence visit to the family of late Afenifere’s spokesman, Yinka Odumakin at their residence in Omole area of Lagos.
Soyinka, also, Africa’s first Nobel Laureate for Literature, described late Odumakin as a persistent and brave fighter.
The late Odumakin, 54, died on Friday after battling with respiratory problems occasioned by COVID-19 complications.
In the condolence register, Soyinka said: “Farewell to a doughty fighter”.
Similarly, the Former Speaker, House of Representative, Mr Dimeji Bankole, said late Odumakin struggled for human rights and alive till end.
“Thank you for everything and rest in peace,” he prayed.
According to a veteran Nigerian broadcaster, Mr Bisi olatilo, “Odumakin left the way strong people leave. Source NAN
