Adron Homes & Properties Ltd. has addressed a recent publication by the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), dated May 22, 2025, describing the claims as baseless, defamatory, and grossly misleading.
The FIJ report alleges that Adron Homes failed to refund a land payment to Mr. Solomon Oludare Akinbo for a plot at Treasure Park and Garden, Phase 2, Shimawa, Ogun State. The company has firmly rejected this narrative, expressing disappointment that FIJ neglected to verify facts before going public with such serious accusations.
Setting the Facts Straight
According to Adron Homes, Mr. Akinbo was provisionally allocated a plot in line with his expressed desire to build on the site. As clearly stated in the Contract of Sale, final allocation is contingent upon a formal written notification of readiness to commence construction — a standard policy aimed at promoting orderly estate development and preventing abandoned plots.
Moreover, Mr. Akinbo voluntarily requested Adron Homes to oversee his building project. He personally selected his preferred design, and the company provided a detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for his review. The company stressed that neither Mr. Akinbo nor his legal counsel were ever coerced into this arrangement, contrary to their claims.
Adron Homes further refuted allegations of soliciting additional payments from Mr. Akinbo, describing them as entirely fictitious and intended to tarnish the company’s reputation.
A Call for Responsible Journalism
In closing, Adron Homes urged the public to disregard the misleading report and reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and the highest ethical standards in all dealings. The company also called on media outlets to uphold journalistic integrity by verifying information before publication.
The Facts They Didn’t Publish
Adron Homes maintains a transparent and clearly documented refund policy, which Mr. Akinbo acknowledged by signing his Contract of Sale. The policy requires a formal written refund request, after which a Refund Form is issued for completion and return. Additionally, clients must return all original contractual documents to finalize the process and close their account.
Despite multiple official reminders and communications, Mr. Akinbo and his legal representative have failed to comply with these stipulated requirements, effectively stalling the refund process.
One-Sided Journalism
Equally troubling, Adron Homes noted that FIJ published its report without properly reflecting the company’s side of the story. Contrary to FIJ’s claims of prior contact, no opportunity was afforded for an official response, nor was any effort made to verify the facts. This disregard for journalistic balance has fueled public misinformation and unjustly maligned Adron Homes’ reputation.
Our Demands and Position
In light of these developments, Adron Homes formally demands the immediate removal of the misleading article from all FIJ platforms. The company is also calling for a public retraction, a written apology, and the publication of a follow-up article that accurately presents the company’s official position.
Unwavering Commitment to Clients
Adron Homes remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, transparency, and integrity in all its dealings. The company assures its valued clients and the public of its continuous dedication to service excellence and ethical business practices.
